Dr. Meike Vogt

I am a senior scientist in the Environmental Physics group at ETH Zurich. My work focuses on the modelling of marine ecosystems and plankton biogeography using observational data and a range of statistical and mechanistic models. I am interested in global plankton biogeography, diversity and marine ecosystem structure, and in the link between ecosystem composition and ecosystem function in terms of global biogeochemical cycling in a changing climate.

Dr. Matthias Münnich

I am a senior scientist in the environmental physics group at ETH Zurich. As a physicist by training, I use high-resolution numerical models to study the influence of the dynamics of ocean with the atmosphere and other global climate related aspects of the marine biogeochemistry and biology.
Dr. Sarah Paradis

I am an Ambizione fellow in the Environmental Physics group at ETH Zurich, interested in quantifying the global organic carbon budget in marine sediments. More specifically, I want to know why and where organic carbon is buried in marine sediments as well as its sources and preservation potential given its importance in sequestering carbon. To do so, I use the expanding Modern Ocean Sediment Archive and Inventory of Carbon (MOSAIC) database, combined with statistical and machine-learning models.
